Itinerary:

 

Day 1 Canada- Narita
You begin your adventure. Depart Vancouver or from your hometown to Tokyo via Japan Airlines. En-route you will cross the International Dateline.

 

Day 2 Narita - Tokyo
Arrive in Narita International Airport. Transfer to hotel in Tokyo.

Hotel: Keio Plaza or similar

 

Day 3 Tokyo
Morning city tour in Tokyo. Visit Tokyo Tower Observatory, Imperial Palace Plaza, Asakusa Kannon
Temple & Nakamise Shopping Arcade. Your tour ends with an introduction of pearl at Tasaki Pearl Gallery. Afternoon, free at your leisure.

 

Day 4 Tokyo - Mt. Fuji - Hakone - Kyoto
This morning, visit the Fuji Visitor Center and Mt. Fuji 5th Station to enjoy the spectacular view of Mt. Fuji. After lunch, proceed to Hakone for a cruise on Lake Ashi and Mt. Komagatake Aerial Cableway. This evening, transfer to Odawara Station and take a bullet train to Kyoto. (L)

Day 5 Kyoto - Nara - Kyoto
Morning sightseeing of Kyoto, visiting Golden Pavilion, Nijo Castle noted for its gorgeous interior and Kyoto Imperial Palace that used to be the residence of Japan’s Imperial Family until 1868, when the emperor and capital were moved from Kyoto to Tokyo. After lunch, proceed to Nara and visit the Todaiji Temple with Great Buddha, Nara Park and Kasuga Shrine. Return to Kyoto. (L)

 

Day 6 Kyoto - Osaka - Shanghai
Transfer from Kyoto to Osaka (Kansai) airoprt for your flight to Shanghai, China’s largest city, major seaport and important commercial centre. Check-in to hotel. (D)

Day 7 Shanghai
During your stay in Shanghai, see the riverfront promenade, the Bund - a splendid vantage point to view the colorful traffic on the Huangpu River & Pudong Development Zone. Visit Nanjing Road, Shanghai Museum & Yu Yuan Garden. After dinner, you will enjoy an Acrobatic Show. (B/L/D)

 

Day 8 Shanghai
Today is a free day for you at your leisure. (B)

 

Day 9 Shanghai - Xi’an
This morning is free at your own leisure. After lunch, fly to Xi’an - once the capital of 11 dynasties, and one of the most important archaeological sites in China. Upon arrival in Xi’an, you will visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, a brick-tower architecture boasted a five-storey structure about 60 meters high. Next, a visit to the Ming Dynasty City Wall, the larges and well-pre-served ancient city wall in China. (B/L/D)

Day 10 Xi’an
A full day excursion takes you to one of the most exciting archaeological finds in recent years - the unearthing of more than 6,000 Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses. These figures guard the tomb of Emperor Qin and are buried in the huge pit covering more than three acres. Next, visit the Shaanxi Provincial Museum, a striking Tang-Dynasty style pavilion, houses a large collection of 113,000 historic and cultural artifacts. This evening, enjoy a special Dumpling Dinner followed by a delightful Tang Dynasty Show. (B/L/SD)

 

Day 11 Xi’an - Beijing
This morning is free at your leisure. Afternoon you will fly to Beijing, China’s seven-century-old capital. (B/L/D)

Day 12 Beijing
Following breakfast, you will visit the Dingling Tomb, one of the Ming Tombs, the burial place of the 13th Ming Dynasty Emperor to view the fabulous cultural relics. Then, we visit the "Sacred Way" – a boulevard lined with sculpted stone animals. Next, drive to the Badaling section of Great Wall, the world’s greatest man-made structure winding dragon-like across Northern China and praised as a "Wonder of the World". This is the only earthly evidence of man visible from the moon. Tonight, you will enjoy a Peking Duck Dinner, the no. 1 typical food of Beijing. (B/L/SD)

 

Day 13 Beijing
Your tour starts in late morning to Tian’anmen Square, the largest urban square in the world with the capacity of 1 million people. Forbidden City, located in the centre of Beijing, it’s the largest existing, best-preserved imperial palace in the world today covering a total area of 720,000 square meters. Then visit the Temple of Heaven, a masterpiece of 15th Century architecture inscribed on the UNESCO’s World Heritages List. Next, the Summer Palace presents a breathtaking arrangement of lake, landscape, pagodas and pavilions, a fine example of Chinese gardening art. (B/L/D)

 

Day 14 Beijing
Today is a free day for you to explore this capital city. (B)

 

Day 15 Shanghai - Canada
Bid farewell to China and depart for Vancouver. It is the same afternoon when you arrive home as you will re-cross the International Dateline. (B)
